DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON
Mike Fordham has held a broad range of senior appointments in Federal and State government agencies across Australia including in Cairns, Torres Strait, Cape York, Brisbane, NSW, South Australia and Canberra. Mike was Chief of Staff to Hon Ken Wyatt MP, (then) Minister for Indigenous Australians.
Mike currently provides support to various corporations, government agencies and individuals as the Principal of Fordham & More Advisory – a small, specialised consultancy working in the fields of corporate governance, policy and programme advice.
With trade and post-trade engineering qualifications, a Bachelor of Economics from the University of New England and a Fellow of the Aust & NZ School of Government, Mike has also completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
Mike was Chair (life member) of KickArts in Cairns for many years, which has more recently transformed into the Bulmba-ja Arts Centre. He is a Director of Mai Wiru Regional Stores Aboriginal Corporation which operates grocery and general goods stores across the APY Lands and in other remote communities. He has been involved and supportive of AFL Cape York for many years and was pleased to be appointed to the board in 2021
