In what capacity does your company support AFL Cape York House?
We believe in two-way partnerships (where possible) and adding value to our business partners along that journey is important to our organisation. The team at Adllins Media are responsible for the marketing strategy and implementation for AFLCY Boarding Houses (Boys & Girls) to ensure the wider community is aware of the brand’s existence, and are engaged and supportive of the brand. Our business partnership sees the team deliver anything from public relations to media production through the camera lens, creative design, wholesale connections, website development, event support and remote community work from time to time. From a media agency perspective, we’ve been volunteer tutors, event coordinators, sponsors of the clubs sporting groups and donated to fund raising activities.

The team work on both individual projects and an ongoing client base globally, delivering remarkable results for their audiences whether they be local, interstate, national or global. Our business partners connected to the agency are progressive and as an agency our priority is return on investment for our clientele portfolio.

Is the business locally owned and operated?
Absolutely! All team members are perfectly positioned right here in sunny FNQ!

If you had a message for our young people to inspire their futures what would it be?
Recently I had the honour of attending the 2023 graduation event for the young people of AFLCY boarding houses. Being present on that evening I was fascinated with the young people’s graduation speeches, the challenges that they had overcome and the genuine connections that they had made with the teams and their peers within the boarding homes. My advice from that evening to inspire the futures of these young people would be to remind them that “you don’t lose if you get knocked down, you lose if you stay down” – Muhammad Ali.

Brent Powell

General Manager

Why does your company support AFL Cape York House Boarding Environments?
Rick and the team at AFL Cape York House are a fantastic group of people and it’s always enjoyable working alongside people like that.
Most importantly though, the work the foundation does in providing Indigenous youth with the opportunities to achieve success in their chosen pathways in life is culturally and socially significant which is why we are proud to support the foundation.
